WHAT AND WHY?
The Grange Interlink Centre is a purpose built modern community centre based within Bradford. The Centre is financially independent and distinct from it. The Centre serves all sections of the local community and welcomes people of different faiths, cultures and ability levels.It is a Registered Charity and Company Ltd by Guarantee. We are based in Great Horton, Bradford. The Centre opened in June 2003. It has developed provision in line with the needs and wants of the local community. We have a range of groups and activities delivered in the heart of the community.
WHAT WE DO
We develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged local community of Great Horton and the City of Bradford in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet their needs and participate more fully in society. We promote social 'inclusion' by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and helping them to integrate into society. This benefits the community, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious opinions.
Improving Lives
We believe that all people, given the right opportunity, are seeking to improve their lives in some way. For some this may be to develop or increase their mental capacity by education or experience, or improve personal health and well being to be able to enjoy a fuller life. Somebody who is unemployed may wish to improve their chances of securing paid employment, and a person who is isolated may simply wish to have a space where they can meet new people and improve their social skills.
